IT audit for businesses

Understand your IT infrastructure
before the next decision.

An audit starts with the right questions: which systems support the business, where the uncertainties are and what needs to be checked. We start from your company’s context and from the technical documentation, to define relevant checks.

The initial conversation and the review of the pre-audit questionnaire are free of charge. For the audit itself you receive a personalised quote.

Who it is for

Small and medium-sized businesses, including complex infrastructures.

We work with small and medium-sized businesses, including companies with complex infrastructure: several sites, their own servers or an internal IT team. We adapt the checks to the infrastructure, objectives and location. The audit can take place remotely, on site or mixed.

When an IT audit is useful

  • You do not have a complete picture of the equipment, access and applications in use.
  • Investments, a migration or a change in how IT is administered are coming up.
  • There are outages, uncertainties about backups or security problems.
  • You want to understand whether the current documentation and practices reflect the real infrastructure.

What the assessment can include. The exact scope is set for each company. The documentation can cover:

Network and connectivity

Topology, network separation, Wi-Fi, links between sites and remote access.

Equipment and servers

Inventory, roles, versions, support, virtualisation and updates.

Identities and access

Accounts, multi-step authentication, privileges and access revocation.

Backup and continuity

Which data is backed up, backup frequency, restore evidence and recovery plans.

Monitoring and incidents

Alerts, logs, responsibilities and intervention procedures.

Cloud and documentation

Microsoft 365 services and other applications, relevant configurations, available inventories and procedures.

How it works

Four stages, from context to findings.

Completing the pre-audit questionnaire takes about 20–30 minutes and is not the audit itself. Based on the answers we clarify the scope, duration, stages and terms of the collaboration.

01

Pre-audit: we understand the context

You complete a questionnaire about your organisation, infrastructure and main concerns, ideally together with the person in charge of IT. If you do not know an answer, you can say “I don’t know”; we clarify it together.

02

Technical documentation: verifiable information

The infrastructure administrator completes the technical sheet and provides the available evidence: inventories, diagrams, versions, screenshots and reports. Missing evidence is recorded and clarified; it is not treated as a completed check.

03

Audit: we verify the agreed scope

We analyse the information and carry out the agreed technical activities. The systems included, the access required, active checks and working windows are clarified before starting, according to operational constraints.

04

Findings: we clarify the next steps

You receive a written report with the state of the infrastructure, the risks identified and prioritised recommendations. In a dedicated meeting we present the findings and answer your team’s questions.

Who takes part

Clear roles, on both sides.

A good audit depends on the people who know the business and the infrastructure. We identify them at the start, together with you.

Preparing the documents

After the initial conversation.

The pre-audit questionnaire

We send it to you after the initial conversation. You complete it together with the person in charge of IT; “I don’t know” is an accepted answer and is clarified later.

The technical sheet

In the documentation stage, the infrastructure administrator completes the technical sheet. Existing documents can be used to avoid rewriting information.

Sending the information

We agree together how the information and evidence are sent. The public contact form is only for the initial request: do not include passwords, access keys or configuration exports.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the usual questions.

No. The pre-audit is the stage of getting to know the situation and preparing the audit. The answers help us estimate the duration and the stages required.

No. The questionnaire allows the answer “I don’t know”. Missing information is clarified together with the person who administers the infrastructure.

The duration is estimated after the pre-audit, depending on the size and complexity of the infrastructure and the agreed scope. The 20–30 minutes refer only to completing the initial questionnaire.

Yes. The internal administrator or current provider plays an important role in documenting the infrastructure and providing the technical information.

Activities and time windows are set according to the systems involved. Checks that could affect operations are discussed and scheduled before they are carried out.

The initial conversation and the review of the pre-audit questionnaire are free of charge. Based on the information collected, we prepare a personalised quote for the audit itself, with the scope and terms of the service.

The first step

We start with your company's situation.

Tell us what you want to clarify and what concerns you. We set the first step together. The initial conversation and the review of the pre-audit questionnaire are free of charge; the audit itself is carried out on the basis of a personalised quote.
